Baby Paperwork 101 Workshop

During this 2 1/2 hour workshop, you will learn everything there is to know about the paperwork related to the birth of a baby in Germany. We will discuss the following topics:


- Maternity leave allowance (Mutterschaftsgeld and Mutterschutz)

- Father declaration and custody rights agreement (Vaterschaftsanerkennung and Sorgerechtserklärung)

- Parental leave (Elternzeit)

- Parental leave benefits (Elterngeld)

- Child benefits (Kindergeld)

- Birth certificate (Geburtsurkunde)

- Health insurance (Krankenversicherung)

- Passport (Reisepass)


There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end. You will also receive a number of information sheets and checklists to organize your paperwork.

How to find a Kita in Berlin

Need to find a Kita spot in Berlin but don‘t know where to start? Lost in the variety of Kita options? Nervous as to how to maximise your chances of getting childcare for your little one?


I'm an expert in all Kita matters and can help you in the process. I founded a bilingual Kita in 2013 in Prenzlauer Berg, after spending hours hopelessly trying to find a Kita spot for my own children.
